Description
The essential oil of Neroli or Bitter Orange Blossom (citrus aurantium), is a virginal symbol of purity and at the same time of happy marriages. It recalls the name of the Princess of Nerola who rediscovered the so-called acqua nanfa and spread its use at the court of Louis XIV.
Relaxation and mental well-being as well as digestive and carminative action are functions recognized by the Ministry of Health.
It is recommended by Aromatherapists for its relaxing and invigorating virtues. It's used to relieve premenstrual symptoms, to combat postpartum depression, and to treat tachycardia and palpitations. It's antitoxic and purifying, beneficial for the intestine in case of colitis or diarrhea.
Particularly useful in aromatherapy for skin care, it is commonly used as an ingredient in skin products designed to regenerate the skin and delay ageing, try our Jojoba and Neroli.
When diffused in the air, it helps to overcome the effects of colds and bronchitis.
Neroli essential oil is very important psychologically in aromatherapy, it is suggested for treating anxiety and depression, and is particularly good in aromatherapy for treating emotional shocks, including those in children for whom it is also recommended for nightmares and overexcitement. The sensual and seductive aspect should not be underestimated.
Suggested uses:
- Room diffuser: between 3 and 6 drops in 100ml of water.
- Bath: 8 to 10 drops of essential oil emulsified in coarse salt, milk, cream, or honey in hot water (to prevent the oil from evaporating due to the heat).
- Massage: we recommend diluting a few drops of essential oil in a tablespoon of carrier oil. This essential oil can sensitize you to sunlight, so be cautious.
