Description

Grapefruit essential oil (Citrus Paradise) it comes from an ancient hybrid, probably between sweet orange and pomelo. It has long been used only as an ornamental plant. It is the only citrus fruit that is supposed not to come from South East Asia but from Central America. Its fruit only became popular in the 19th century.

Fruit tree of the Rutaceae family.
Its origin is Sicily.
The essential oil is extracted by cold pressing of the fruit peels.
The scent is fresh, citrus, slightly sour.
