In aromatherapy it is used to lower hypertension and tachycardia and to combat intestinal infections and stomach cramps. It is suggested to alleviate menstrual cycle disorders.
Naturopaths suggest its use to promote skin well-being in cases of acne, oily or irritated skin and more generally for the care of the skin. It is also used as an ingredient to treat hair and nail regrowth.
Used in relaxing massages diluted in carrier oil.

Suggested Uses and Dosage:
- Room diffuser: 4/5 drops in 100 ml of water.
- Bath tub: 8/10 drops of essential oil emulsified in coarse salt or milk or cream or honey to be put in hot water (this helps prevent the oil from volatilizing due to the heat).
- Massages: dilute a few drops of essential oil in a spoonful of oil through.
Warnings: Generally non-toxic, some cases of sensitization have been reported, use in moderation.
