Essentia | Terebinth

The essential oil of Terebinth (Pistacia Terebinthus) symbol of immortality and mystical ecstasy, was used in religious ceremonies. The Angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon next to a Terebinth tree and Abraham erected an altar in Hebron, not far from a grove of the same species.
It is a shrub typical of the Mediterranean scrub of the Anacardiaceae family, the leaves are distilled in a steam current.
The scent is warm, balsamic, resinous and unmistakably reminiscent of the smell of a forest.
