Description
Terebinth essential oil (Pistacia Terebinthus) symbol of immortality and mystical ecstasy, was used in religious ceremonies. The Angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon beside a Terebinth tree and Abraham erected an altar in Hebron, not far from a grove of the same species.
It is recognized by the Ministry of Health as an antioxidant and beneficial for the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract. It supports joint health.
In aromatherapy it is mainly used for inhalation, as an expectorant, or diluted in massage oil.
Very atypical flavor, the scent takes us to a forest where a heavy rain has just fallen, try it in its version Essentia Spray
Terebinth essential oil broadens daily horizons, frees the psyche from evanescent shadows, elevating the spirit.
Suggested Uses and Dosage:
- Room diffuser: 2/3 drops in 100 ml of water.
- Bath tub: 8/10 drops of essential oil emulsified in coarse salt or milk or cream or honey to be put in hot water (this helps prevent the oil from volatilizing due to the heat).
- Massage: dilute a few drops of essential oil in a spoonful of oil through.
Warnings: Use in moderation. Do not use in case of chronic diseases, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
If in doubt, consult a doctor/naturopath.
