Our Laurel Essential Oil, we collect the leaves in nature and then distill them ourselves in Pomarance, in the heart of Tuscany.
The Greeks and Romans crowned their victors with laurel (Noble Laurel) and used both the leaves and the berries to treat colic, digestive problems, and fever.

In aromatherapy it is used as an anti-inflammatory, particularly to relieve rheumatic and arthritic pain.
A study published in 2008 by a consortium of Italian and foreign universities (UNI Calabria, UNI Ferrara, Uni Frankfurt) highlighted the antiviral activity of laurel essential oil.
It is suggested by naturopaths to stimulate slow and difficult digestion and to awaken the appetite and fight intestinal fermentation.
It is useful for aromatherapists in cases of chronic bronchitis and in influenza accompanied by asthenia and to calm coughs.
Aromatic herb par excellence, like all essential oils it dilutes perfectly in fats, sugars and alcohol, try it to make bay leaf liqueur instead of infusion or to flavour olive oil or butter as in ours recipe. We also propose it as cocktail finish in our Essentia line
Excellent for purifying the air, it keeps bacterial spread under control thanks to its antiseptic and balsamic action, used as an ingredient in sprays it eliminates mites.
Laurel in Psycho-Aromatherapy is used to help govern oneself, from one's actions to eating. Laurel is useful for managing impulses, for organizing common things, it drives away annoyances and thoughts.
Suggested Uses:
- Room diffuser: choose between 3 and 6 drops in 100 ml. of water
- Bath tub: a few drops of essential oil emulsified in coarse salt or milk or cream or honey to be put in hot water (this helps prevent the oil from volatilizing due to the heat)
- Massages: dilute a maximum of 1/3 drops of essential oil in a tablespoon of oil via
- Food Use: do not exceed 1/2 drops per 100 gr. of food to be flavoured, to be added at the end of cooking (we suggest always starting from the lowest recommended dose to, if necessary, increase the drops in the future)
Warnings: Do not use in case of chronic diseases, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
