Description

Helichrysum: The “Golden Sun” of the Mediterranean Scrub
(Helichrysum Italicum)

Helichrysum cultivated and distilled at Saint Bianca It represents a true artisanal challenge: to obtain this precious and rare essential oil, it is necessary to steam distill the fresh flowers of the plant.

Known since ancient times as symbol of immortality (its flowers never completely wither), Helichrysum was used to weave divine garlands.
Today it is considered a “solar” oil: it radiates warmth, and is traditionally associated with the ability to make decisions, strengthen the spirit and stimulate intuition.

🌿 Properties in Literature and Tradition
Information note: The following descriptions illustrate the potential of the Helichrysum plant as recognized by scientific literature, herbal tradition, and ministerial guidelines.
They do not represent direct therapeutic indications for the individual product, but rather describe its historical and pharmacological virtues.

1. Breath and the Balsamic Effect
The Ministry of Health recognizes that Helichrysum has a notable balsamic effect, beneficial for the nose and throat.
Traditional use: In aromatherapy, if massaged on the solar plexus (appropriately diluted in a carrier oil), it has historically been used to calm respiratory disorders, coughs and sinusitis, thanks to its known mucolytic properties.
2. Digestion and Detox
Also according to ministerial guidelines, Helichrysum supports digestive and liver function.
Traditional use: Literature describes it as a tonic for the body, useful for purifying the blood and stimulating the functionality of the liver, bile and pancreas.
Due to its detoxifying properties, it is often cited in phytotherapy texts as a support in cases of arthritis and rheumatism or for purification (detox) processes.
3. The Skin and Microcirculation
Helichrysum is famous for its supposed support of microcirculation function.
Traditional use: It is perhaps one of the most renowned oils for skin care.
Tradition attributes to it powerful healing and soothing properties.
Applied topically (carried in a base oil), it is considered an excellent remedy for treating recent stretch marks, skin inflammation, acne and eczema.
It is also appreciated for counteracting water retention and lymphatic stagnation.
4. Emotional Well-being and Environment
In subtle aromatherapy, Helichrysum is a symbol of the search for awareness. Its warm, herbaceous scent with hints of licorice helps purify the air and "warm" the atmosphere.
Traditional use: It is used to combat apathy, stress, and depression, helping to regain mental clarity and self-acceptance.

Helichrysum in the Kitchen and Mixology
In the culinary field, Helichrysum is a surprising but powerful ingredient: it must be used with extreme parsimony.
Its unique flavor, reminiscent of curry and licorice, can transform a dish or a cocktail.
(To facilitate dosage, we suggest the version Spray Essentia Helichrysum).
Recommended dietary allowance: 1 or 2 drops per 100 g of food, to be added strictly at the end of cooking or cold emulsion.
We recommend always starting with the minimum dose.

Usage Tips
Environmental diffusion: Ideal for purifying the room.
Use 3 to 6 drops in 100 ml of water in the diffuser.
Alternatively try using it pure with our MAD waterless diffusers
Aromatic bath: For a relaxing effect, emulsify a few drops of essential oil in a fatty carrier (coarse salt, milk, cream, or honey) and pour into hot water.
Important: Emulsification is necessary to prevent the oil from evaporating quickly or irritating the skin.
Massages: Never use pure on the skin. Dilute a few drops in a tablespoon of vegetable oil.

Warnings
Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Not recommended in case of serious chronic diseases without medical advice.
