Description
Cedar essential oil (Citrus Medica) It is extracted from a fruit whose knowledge is very ancient. Pliny the Elder called it “Assyrian apple”.
Its origins are in Southeast Asia.

It is difficult to find therapeutic advice in the literature.
We know that in aromatherapy it has diuretic and draining properties if taken orally (a drop in a teaspoon of honey), it aids digestion and reduces abdominal swelling.
It is added to shampoo (preferably neutral) to combat greasy hair.
It finds its best use in the kitchen, like all citrus fruits it is an excellent starting point for learning how to cooking with essential oils. Try it in the version Essentia Spray
It is used as an insect repellent, similar to citronella.
The Chinese and Japanese use it to perfume rooms and clothes in closets.
Suggested Uses:
- Room diffuser: choose between 3 and 6 drops in 100 ml. of water
- Bath tub: 8/10 drops of essential oil emulsified in coarse salt or milk or cream or honey to be put in hot water (this helps prevent the oil from volatilizing due to the heat)
- Food use: We recommend 1/2 drops per 100 gr. of food to be flavoured, to be added at the end of cooking (we suggest always starting with the lowest recommended dose and, if necessary, increasing the drops in the future)
Warnings: Do not use in case of chronic diseases, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
