Cardamom Essential Oil (Elettaria Cardamomum) It is a spice that has always been used in Arab and Indian cuisine.
The use of cardamom dates back about 3000 years, mentioned in Ayurvedic medicine, and in the writings of Hippocrates and Dioscorides.

The Ministry of Health recognizes its beneficial effects on digestion and the regulation of gastrointestinal motility, as well as its carminative properties. It fluidifies bronchial secretions.
In naturopathy it is used as a gastro-protector and carminative.
Sniffing or wafting it can make nausea go away.
Recommended by Naturopaths in cases of sinusitis, bronchitis and colds as an extraordinary decongestant of the upper respiratory tract; used in fumigations it improves cough and thins mucus.
Massaging the affected area with a dilution of cardamom essential oil and vegetable oil provides relief from sciatica and muscle pain.
A fundamental spice in the kitchen, chef Roberto Abbadati used it in his Ricettessenziali for the “Chocolate and Cardamom Drinko”, discover it also in the spray version Essentia Cardamom.
In Psycho-Naturopathy it can be used when you feel in crisis and need to get up again, it revitalizes and sweeps away negative thoughts, helps to focus and combats anxiety and depression.
Suggested Uses:
- Diffuser: 1/3 drops of essential oil in 100ml of water
- Fumigations: a few drops of OE emulsified in coarse salt in 1 litre of hot water for approximately 20 minutes. Keep eyes and mouth closed.
- Bath tub: 8/10 drops of essential oil emulsified in coarse salt or milk or cream or honey to be put in hot water (serves to prevent the essential oil from volatilizing)
- Massages: We recommend diluting 1/2 drop of essential oil in a spoonful of oil using
- Culinary use: We recommend 1/2 drops of OE in 100 gr. of food at the end of cooking, mixed in a dressing. We suggest always starting with the lowest recommended dose, to, if necessary, increase the drops in the future.
