Geranium essential oil (Pelargonium Gravelolens) It is linked to love, to the expectation of a sweet response, but also, by contrast, to madness. Between the two extremes, each shade of color of the flower corresponds to a different meaning. The plant is native to southern Africa, it was imported to Italy by a Venetian nobleman.

Health and WellnessIn aromatherapy, on the physical level, it is known as an analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antispasmodic and healing agent.

Suitable for soaps
Geranium essential oil is used as an astringent and sebum regulator; it is an excellent ingredient for remedies against oily, mature and congested skin.
It helps to get rid of dermatitis and eczema, and since it is also an antibacterial it is effective against acne. It is used to relax the skin and to help fight wrinkles.

Geranium essential oil promotes circulation by reactivating the microcirculation, also useful for the treatment of cellulite if spread on the affected areas.
Anti-insects
Geranium essential oil is an excellent insect repellent.
Keeps mosquitoes away, apply it to hot spots on the body such as neck and wrists, the effect lasts a couple of hours.

Suggested Uses:

  • Room diffuser: a few drops in 100 ml. of water
  • Bath tub: a few drops of essential oil emulsified in coarse salt or milk or cream or honey to be put in hot water (this helps prevent the oil from volatilising due to the heat)
  • Massages: We recommend diluting a few drops of essential oil in a spoonful of oil using
